What If I'm Breastfeeding?

Watch this short video of Massy discussing breastfeeding while completing a program

The most important thing is to keep an eye on your milk supply to make sure you are producing ample enough milk if breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding places more demand on your body than usual. Adding 500 calories to your meal plan should help to keep your supply up, but if you notice it dropping, add more water and more food. The priority, of course, is nourishing your baby. If you are trying to lose weight, breastfeeding is a natural way to do that anyway, so don’t be concerned about adding more food. A few foods notable for increasing supply are soaked oats, fennel (avoid if pregnant), fenugreek seeds (only in moderation if pregnant), and basil. Also, drink the ocean.
