When you are first starting out, you will want to follow the meal plan as written. Each week has a specific caloric target that takes into accounts all of the meals consumed within that day. For example, one week’s dinner might be around 450 calories, and another week’s dinner might be around 350 calories, but the 100 calories are made up for in the lunch. Thus, doing a one-to-one swap isn’t ideal unless you are willing to compare the macros and adjust accordingly.
After you have been following the meal plan for a while, you may use the meal plan as a guide and create your own if you wish. You will want to create these according to your macros. Here are a few easy steps:
1) Calculate your macros at trumacros.com
2) Using those macros and the meal plan, adjust your serving sizes to meet those numbers. You may utilize a macro tracking app if needed.
