Do I have to eat the same thing every day?

While the meal plans call for eating the same thing for one week, you can make macro-friendly substitutions if you wish to add more variety and encourage adherence to your meal plan. The goal is not to be overly strict, but to develop healthy habits. Use your substitution list to get ideas of how you can modify your meals and get creative.

What are “macro-friendly” substitutions, though?

For example, if your meal plan calls for 6oz chicken, you could substitute it with another protein, such as turkey, lean ground beef, or tofu. You will just want to compare the grams of protein in 6oz of chicken with whatever you choose and substitute the appropriate amount.
